In the Mercantour National Park, the madonna of Fenestre chalet is in the heart of a majestic alpine amphitheatre dominated by the local giant, the Gelas, the highest peak in the Alpes-Maritimes (3,143 m)

The chalet is the start of many alpine or climbing races as well as family hikes (window lake, drop of the five lakes...). The caretakers offer accommodation with a common restaurant in the evening and a menu at noon for a gourmet break or a small snack.

The Chalet of Madone de Fenestre

Located at 1903 metres of altitude, in the heart of the Mercantour National Park, on the GR52A, the mountain hut of Madone de Fenestre offers a magnificent panorama on the ‘Gélas’, which is the highest peak of the Alpes-Maritimes ( 3143 m). The mountain hut is the starting point of a number of mountaineering activities, as well as family treks (lake of Fenestre, lakes of Prals, pass of Fenestre,...).
